It all began in her homeland of Taiwan, where she spent years of intensive study in acupuncture and herbal medicine in traditional medical environments. In 1996 she moved to Houston and began her training at the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental medicine, where she earned a Master’s Degree in the Science of Oriental Medicine. Some of her other skills include the management of Systematic Abnormalities which include such issues as: allergies, edema, fatigue, hypertention, insomnia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, low back and neck pain, obesity, sinusitus, and many other problems.
Her constant desire for continuing education and additional experience led her to seek further studies in California, and Arizona. She currently has an acupuncture license for the State of Texas, and another license which allows her to practice all across the USA. Dr. Julie has 18 years of practical clinical experience.
Dr. Julie’s practice specializes in the treatment of sports related injuries such as: knee pain, rotator cuff, heel spur, sciatica, and tennis elbow.
Her hands-on clinical experience has proven to her that even long-term, injury and pain will respond well to treatment, and can be greatly improved if not completely healed with the effective application of proper acupuncture techniques.
She has had great success with general pain management for: numbness in the limbs, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, kidney stones, arthritis, and other chronic discomforts.
Acupuncture techniques can also bring control to addictive habits such as: smoking, drinking, and drug abuse. Dr. Julie speaks Chinese, English, and basic Spanish.
